Over 40% of Ukraine’s defense weapons are locally produced, says spy chief
The head of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that over 40% of the weapons used by Ukraine's defense forces are domestically produced
He shared this information via Telegram.
"Today, over 40% of the weapons of the Defense Forces are products of Ukrainian manufacturing. This is a clear indication that Ukraine is capable of being a valuable defense partner to the democratic world. At a time when Europe’s borders have once again become front lines, Ukrainian weapons have become the shield for the security of the entire European community," emphasized Budanov.
He also pointed out that Ukraine's Lutyi and Bober strike drones operate in Russian rear areas, while the Bohdana artillery systems provide maneuverability and firepower in hot spots along the front. Meanwhile, the Sych and Rubaka drones allow for targeting and striking the invading Russian forces.
"Domestic systems not only match foreign ones but are tailored to the actual needs of the war, evolving alongside its progression," he added.
- In February, it was revealed that the German technology company Quantum Systems, which specializes in the development, design, and production of drones, plans to double its production in Ukraine.
