155 clashes at front in the past day, most intense in Porkrovsk direction - Ukraine's General Staff

This is stated in the report of Ukraine's General Staff as of 8:00 am.

Over the past day, 155 combat clashes were recorded.

Russian attacks on Ukraine

According to updated information, over the past day, the Russian army launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using one missile, 59 air strikes (using 111 KABs), and carried out more than 4,000 shellings, 115 of them from MLRS.

Russia carried out air strikes, in particular, near 5 settlements in the Kharkiv region; 21 in the Donetsk region; and 3 in the Kherson region.

Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Multistory and private residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, etc. were destroyed and damaged.

Frontline update

Russian forces continued offensive (assault) actions in the Kharkiv direction. There were 19 combat clashes near Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Hlyboke, Lyptsi and Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, the number of attacks amounted to four over the day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russia's assault near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka and Novoselivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukraine's troops rebuffed 14 attacks near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny and Nevske.

In the Siversk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed 10 assault attacks near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Klishchiivka and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 17 attempts to break through the defense near Kalynivka, Hryhorivka and Klishchiivka.

In the Toretsk direction, Russia carried out 30 attacks near the settlements of Pivnichne, Toretsk and New York.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 38 assault attacks near 9 settlements, where the occupying Russian troops, supported by aviation, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions. 

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back their enemy near Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske, and Paraskoviivka, where the Russian forces tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses 11 times. 

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian army made seven assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vodiane and Makarivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Orikhiv direction, two combat clashes took place near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne.

In the Kherson direction, Russian troops are attempting to drive the Ukrainian Defense Forces units from their positions at the bridgeheads. Two Russian attacks had no success.

In the northeastern border area, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There are no signs of Russia's offensive groups forming.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, Russian forces maintain a military presence, shell settlements from Russia's territory, and increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. 

Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks on Russian troops

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying Russian forces, depleting them along the entire front line.

Over the past day, Ukraine's aviation, missile forces and artillery carried out 13 air strikes on Russian manpower, destroyed two cannons, one ammunition depot, 3 areas of personnel and weapons concentration.

• Over the course of July 3, 161 combat clashes took place at the front. Ukrainian Defense forces repelled the largest number of attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
