Ukraine denies Russian claims of occupying Dvorichna, Kharkiv region: Fighting continues

On Tuesday, January 28, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, dismissed Russian media claims about the alleged occupation of Dvorichna village in the Kharkiv region

He made this statement in a comment to Suspilne.

"This is not the first claim of this kind from the Russian media. It’s pure propaganda with no basis in reality. Yes, intense fighting is ongoing in the area, but there’s no reason to say the village has been captured," he said.

For reference: Dvorichna is the administrative center of the Dvorichna settlement community in the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv region. It is located on the right bank of the Oskil River.

  • On January 27, British intelligence reported that Russian forces were gradually expanding their positions on the west bank of the Oskil River in the Kharkiv region. At the same time, Russia continues to exert pressure on Kupyansk.
