Norway's PM plans $8.5 billion in aid to Ukraine in 2026
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, who arrived in Kyiv on August 25, has announced the continuation of support for Ukraine

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, who arrived in Kyiv on August 25, said that his country would continue its support for Ukraine. He noted that he had announced support for 2025 and 2026 amounting to $8.45 billion and added that he would propose to parliament to allocate this sum.
Earlier, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, reported that Jonas Gahr Støre had arrived in Ukraine.
According to Yermak, he and Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha have welcomed Støre at Kyiv’s train station this morning.
“It is important for us to feel the support of true allies. Norway has always stood by our people, providing substantial assistance to our defense, and we value this reliable solidarity. Welcome to Kyiv,” Yermak commented, sharing a video.
