Sobyanin shared the details on Telegram.

At 7:37 a.m., Sobyanin claimed that Russian air defenses in Ramensky District had supposedly repelled an attack by two drones headed toward Moscow. Preliminary reports indicated no damage or casualties at the debris site, he added.

At 7:43, the Moscow mayor announced the alleged downing of two additional UAVs in Ramensky.

“Another eight drones flying toward Moscow were shot down by Defense Ministry air defenses in the Ramensky, Domodedovsky, and Kolomensky districts. Emergency response teams are on-site,” Sobyanin reported later.

As of 8:10 a.m., Sobyanin stated that Russian Defense Ministry air defenses were still active in the area.

He also reported that five more drones would be intercepted over the Ramensky and Domodedovsky districts.

Subsequently, according to Sobyanin, another five UAVs were downed over Ramensky and Domodedovsky, with an additional three in Ramensky and Kolomensky. By 8:35 a.m., 25 drones allegedly targeting Moscow had been destroyed.

“Seven more drones were intercepted over Domodedovsky, Ramensky, and Kolomensky. To date, 32 drones flying toward Moscow have been neutralized,” Sobyanin confirmed at 8:55.

Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, reported that following the drone incidents in Ramensky, two houses in the village of Stanovoye caught fire. A 52-year-old woman was injured by debris and was hospitalized with burns to her face, neck, and hands; she is currently in intensive care.

Telegram channels are sharing reports of the aftermath, including accounts from Sofiino near Moscow, where witnesses claim two residential buildings caught fire after a drone strike. There are also reports of a blaze in the Zhukovsky District of the Moscow region.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defenses allegedly intercepted and destroyed 23 Ukrainian UAVs overnight: 17 over Bryansk, three over Rostov, two over Belgorod, and one over Kursk.

  • Reports also indicate that SBU and SSO drones struck the Aleksin chemical plant, which manufactures gunpowder and ammunition for the Russian military.
