Mykola Malomuzh, Ukrainian General and former head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, said this on Espreso TV.

"I think it was another launch that was unsuccessful. Russia often conducts such launches, using either imperfect new missiles or old ones, which are depreciated by up to forty percent," Malomuzh explained.

The Ukrainian army general suggested that these were fragments of a Russian Oreshnik missile that could have been destroyed during the launch.

"Therefore, the next launch could indicate that there was another unsuccessful attack that was aimed either at our country or in terms of testing. That is, it could have been the debris of the Oreshnik that scattered and did not fly anywhere," Malomuzh added.

  • On the evening of June 5, Russia launched attack drones and ballistic missiles on Ukraine; by the morning of June 6, missile strikes were confirmed.
