Le Figaro reported the information.
According to the publication, the conversation is set to take place Monday, the final day of the current proposal calling on Russia to agree to a halt in fighting—or face additional sanctions.
“We all need to be clearheaded right now. Either Russia is serious about peace, or it isn’t—and if not, we must impose more sanctions,” Macron said.
He also confirmed that he would speak with Zelenskyy and European leaders later today.
“We’ve set the framework. Everything is clear,” he added.
