Lukashenko says Belarus has nuclear weapons
Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that his country allegedly has “over a dozen” nuclear warheads
This was reported by the state-owned Belarusian media BelTA.
"I brought nuclear warheads here—over a dozen of them. Many people say, 'Oh, it's a joke, no one imported anything.' But we did. And the fact that they dismiss it as a joke means they missed it. They didn't even notice how we brought them here," Lukashenko stated.
According to him, the use of nuclear weapons is a great responsibility.
"But I have warned all my enemies, 'friends,' and rivals: if you cross the state border, the response will be immediate. I won't care whether it's nuclear weapons or something else. We agreed on this with the Russians even before they returned nuclear weapons to us. Not the ones we gave back—that was strategic weaponry. This is a tactical nuclear weapon, although it is likely five times more powerful than this Oreshnik," the self-proclaimed leader stated.
- On December 6, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said it was possible to deploy the Oreshnik system in Belarus. Russia attacked Dnipro with this missile on November 21.
