Latvia to join Czech Republic's initiative to purchase shells for Ukraine

This was stated by Latvian Defence Minister Andris Spruds.

He said that his country would join the initiative of Czech President Petr Pavel to purchase 800,000 artillery shells for Ukraine.

"This is a critical capability to defeat Russia, and we must do our utmost to support Ukraine," the Foreign Minister added.
