Kellogg clarified this in an interview with Newsmax, as cited by Suspilne.

"We are going to the Munich Security Conference. One media outlet claimed we would present a 'peace plan' next week. No, there are no such plans. I never gave them any comments. The person who will present a 'peace plan' is the President of the United States, not Keith Kellogg. We will be involved and help him with this, but it will not happen next week," he stated.

Kellogg added that the U.S. delegation will hold discussions with European leaders, and the outcomes will be reported to the president.

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that Kellogg was expected to outline Trump’s plan for ending the war in Ukraine at the Munich Security Conference, scheduled for February 14–16. However, sources did not disclose how detailed the discussions would be or their format.

According to Bloomberg, statements by Kellogg and other officials in recent weeks hint at a "peace through strength" approach.

Reports suggest the plan may involve freezing the conflict, leaving Russian-occupied territories in an undefined status while offering Ukraine security guarantees to prevent future aggression from Moscow.

Previously, Kellogg had confirmed his participation in the Munich Security Conference via social media.

"Pleased to announce my participation Munich Security Conference as the U.S. Special Representative for Russia and Ukraine, I look forward to speaking about Donald Trump's goal to end the bloody and costly war in Ukraine," he stated.

He also mentioned plans to meet with allies willing to work with the U.S. on ending the war.

  • For reference, the Munich Security Conference has been held annually since 1962. This year, it will take place from February 14 to 16.
  • Earlier, Kellogg emphasized that ending the war as soon as possible aligns with the interests of the entire world, including the United States.
