Ivanivske west of Bakhmut isn't controlled by Russian army - Achilles Battalion commander

Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles Battalion of the 92nd Detached Assault Brigade, says that the invading Russian forces do not have full control over the village of Ivanivske, located west of Bakhmut

He said this on Espreso TV.

"The invading Russian forces continue to storm towards Bohdanivka. There is no critical success. As for Ivanivske, the Russian army is trying to align the front line in the direction of Chasiv Yar. Indeed, a month ago the enemy had a tactical success and occupied the front streets of Ivanivske. However, today it is too early to talk about Russia's complete control of Ivanivske. Over the past two weeks, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have not given up a single position to the enemy," said Fedorenko.

According to Fedorenko, the invading Russian troops control only a part of Ivanivske.

"Heavy and exhausting fighting continues in the direction of Ivanivske. Half of Ivanivske is now under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and the other part of the settlement is occupied by the Russians. The invaders are also conducting assault operations in the direction of Klishchiivka and Andriivka. However, they are not having critical success either," he added.
