In two months, Ukrainian Armed Forces inflict heavy losses on Russian troops in Pokrovsk direction
Between October and November, soldiers serving with Ukraine's 38th Marine Brigade eliminated 1,310 Russian troops and injured at least 1,652 more

During October and November 2024, the brigade reported neutralizing the following Russian assets:
- 2,962 personnel (killed and wounded),
- 7 armored fighitng vehicles,
- 7 drones,
- 6 artillery systems,
- 1 tank,
- 6 ATVs,
- 6 buggies,
- 14 cars,
- 9 motorcycles,
- 10 mortars.
Junior Lieutenant Olena Solonyna, the brigade's spokeswoman, told ArmyTV that the situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains tense. Russian forces are advancing in small groups, often on foot or using motorcycles and buggies.
“We haven’t observed any significant armored groups moving through our area. The invaders mainly operate in groups of 5 to 6, sometimes up to 10. When we spot enemy armored vehicles, usually Tiger models, we aim to disable them at the very least. We consistently repel their assault attempts,” she stated.
Earlier today, the brigade’s Facebook page published a detailed report on the soldiers’ effective actions over the past two months.
- According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as of December 8, Russian troop losses in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war have reached 753,370 personnel.
