IAEA: Repairs underway at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant after month-long outage
IAEA chief Rafael Grossi announced that after a four-week shutdown, the restoration of damaged external power lines has begun at the Zaporizhzhia NPP

This is stated on the IAEA's page on the social network X.
According to him, the repair was made possible after the establishment of local ceasefire zones, which allowed the restoration work to proceed safely.
"Restoration of off-site power is crucial for nuclear safety and security. Both sides engaged constructively with the IAEA to enable complex repair plan to proceed," he noted.
On September 23, the Zaporizhzhia NPP experienced its tenth blackout since its occupation by Russian troops in 2022.
On October 9, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi announced the start of the restoration of the external power supply to the Russian-occupied ZNPP from the Ukrainian power grid.
