Ukrainian politician and diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi said in an interview with Espreso that Putin's mention of the "Istanbul agreements" is aimed at derailing the mood of the Peace Summit in Switzerland

He spoke about this on Espreso TV.

"Putin's mention of the 'Istanbul agreements' is a fake maneuver to dampen the mood of the Peace Summit in Switzerland. This is a fake, the essence of which is simply to torpedo the necessary decisions that would really lead to a victory over this evil and allow the world to take a breather. This falsity, if we look back to 2014, was traced in the trilateral contact group, and then it can be traced in the so-called Chinese position on the Ukrainian crisis," the diplomat said.

According to him, this falsity is even more evident in African peace proposals, as well as in the so-called position of the Pope. And such things as Erdogan's peace plan are simply fake.

"In international relations, the certified documents that have not been signed can heat and power many nations in the world. But no one ever refers to them, because they are just waste paper. This falsity, which is the smell of Moscow's moldy cigarette butt, lives in everything that is called Russia. And we need to understand that at this time, in the current situation, the words are over, the conversations are over, in order to continue to reflect on this falsity. I have already gone through too much in negotiations with this falsity to say this. If someone does not understand this, it is their tragedy," Roman Bezsmertny summed up.
