Explosions in occupied Berdiansk: Russia says two missiles were shot down
On Monday, April 15, loud explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region. The Russians claimed to have shot down two missiles over the city, and the city administration says that Russians' location near the Yuzhgidromash plant was hit.
This was reported by the Russian edition ASTRA.
According to local telegram channels, the explosion occurred at around 11:30. The reasons are being clarified.
According to the local residents, no air defence was heard at all. Photos from social media show the characteristic dark smoke rising over the upland part of the city.
The so-called administration of Berdiansk later reported that the air defence had allegedly shot down two Storm Shadow missiles over the city.
Meanwhile, the head of the Berdiansk Military Administration, Victoria Galitsyna, said that according to preliminary information, the explosions in the city were caused by the Defence Forces practising at the occupiers' location, which was located near the Pivdenhydromash plant.
According to the head of the Military Administration, the Russian invaders have now blocked the area near the facility on Melitopol Highway.
- In addition, on the morning of 15 April, locals reported explosions in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol. The Russian invaders sent helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft into the sky and blocked traffic on the Crimean bridge. Local "authorities" announced military exercises.
