Ukraine confirms damage to fuel depot in Russia’s Tambov region, Enemskaya oil depot
On the night of June 20, drones of the Ukraine's Security Service and the Armed Forces attacked a fuel and lubricant warehouse in Russia's Tambov region and an oil depot in Enem
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.
In particular, on the night of June 20, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Security Service attacked Russia's fuel and lubricants warehouse in the Tambov region, as well as the Enemskaya oil depot in the Republic of Adygea.
"At least five explosions were recorded in the area of the Enemskaya oil depot, after which a fire broke out. The enemy's fuel and lubricants depot in the Tambov region has also been confirmed to have been hit. At least one tank with oil products is known to have been damaged," the General Staff reported.
Earlier, Ukrainska Pravda, RBC-Ukraine, and Suspilne reported on the attack, citing their own sources in the Special Service.
The drones attacked the fuel and lubricants warehouse of Tambovnefteprodukt JSC and the Enemskaya and LUKOIL-Yugnefteprodukt LLC oil depots.
These facilities processed and stored raw materials and finished products, which were subsequently used for the needs of the Russian army. After a series of strikes by Ukrainian drones, fires broke out at both facilities.
Earlier, Russian Telegram channels Astra and BAZA reported on the attacks.
The drone attack reportedly started around 2:30 a.m. Preliminary reports suggest that the drones were intercepted and shot down, but debris from one UAV hit a tank, causing a fire.
Explosions were also heard in the village of Enem, Adygea, where the LUKOIL-Yugnaftoprodukt oil depot is located, according to Russian media.
Later, the Kuban headquarters claimed that reports of a fire at the Afipka Refinery were inaccurate.
They stated that a drone fell on a private house in Slavyansk-na-Kubani, completely destroying it and resulting in one death.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems were active in six regions of Russia, reportedly downing 15 drones. This included six drones in Adygea, three in Bryansk, three in Krasnodar, one in Rostov, one in Belgorod, and one in Oryol.
- On the night of June 18, SBU drones attacked two Russian oil depots in the Rostov region, Azov and Azovnefteprodukt, igniting 22 fuel tanks.
