Ukraine's intelligence cyberattacks over 800 servers of Russian military, administrative, financial Institutions
Ukraine's intelligence carried out a cyberattack on over 800 servers belonging to Russian military, administrative, and financial institutions across Russia, resulting in the destruction of all data and documents
Ukrainian media outlets, including RBC-Ukraine, Babel, and Suspilne, report this information, citing intelligence sources.
More than 800 servers across Russia have been cyberattacked by hackers from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. The operation lasted from September 23 to 26.
These are servers of military, administrative and financial institutions that support Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the sources said.
As a result of the attack, documents and data were completely destroyed, which partially or completely stopped the work of the institutions.
“They will have to find time and money to restore the servers. However, the destroyed information will not be recovered,” the media wrote.
