Defense Express: Peklo cruise missile combines low cost, high efficiency
Valerii Riabykh, military expert, development director of the Defense Express, has explained that the Peklo missile can hit targets up to 700 km away
He shared this on Espreso TV.
"Increasing Ukraine's technological capabilities offers hope for a shift on the front lines, and we're already seeing this change as strikes against the enemy increase," Riabykh said. "We also have early reports about the Peklo cruise missile. This is a hybrid technological product from Ukraine's defense industry, created in response to challenges on the battlefield."
Riabykh explained that Peklo started as a drone but was later developed into a cruise missile. The missile is about two meters long, weighs around 50 kg, and has components similar to long-range drones. It uses advanced guidance systems, including inertial and GPS technology.
The military expert also noted that, due to its high speed, Peklo can perform tasks for Ukrainian forces at distances of up to 700 km, hitting a wide range of targets.
Riabykh explained that Peklo is revolutionary because, instead of relying on expensive missiles, Ukraine is developing more effective weapons that can be produced in large quantities and are capable of penetrating air defense systems. He emphasized that scaling up production of this mini-missile, with its low cost and high efficiency, will allow for greater availability, faster production, and wider use.
