Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak reported the information.

As part of President Zelenskyy’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, the four-year-old girl was rescued. When the full-scale invasion began, the child was with her grandmother, and their town was occupied from the first days of the war.

“Due to constant shelling, power and water outages, and the ongoing threat of deportation, her childhood turned into a fight for survival,” Yermak wrote.

He also shared that the girl’s father, who was in Ukrainian-controlled territory, tried several times to evacuate his daughter on his own, but without success.

  • Previously, two more children were returned from temporarily occupied territory. One of them was a boy whose mother had been killed by Russian forces.
