He made the statement to the BELTA news agency.

“That is, missiles and drones will not fly in either direction. This is very important, for Russia as well.”

Lukashenko added that several stages must be completed to achieve peace, but the most urgent task is to stop the fighting and prevent further loss of life.

He previously claimed that Putin had allegedly refused to strike Bankova with the Oreshnik system.

  • In March, French President Emmanuel Macron proposed a phased plan for a ceasefire in Ukraine. He suggested starting with a month-long halt to attacks in the air, at sea, and on energy infrastructure, since these areas are easier to control than ground operations. In the second stage, after negotiations and the signing of a peace agreement, European peacekeepers could be deployed to monitor the ceasefire along the front lines.
