79 combat clashes occur at front, Russia attacks Kursk region with 20 guided bombs

Today, Russian forces attacked the border of the Sumy region with aircraft and artillery. There have been 13 reported airstrikes, with 23 guided aerial bombs launched.

The areas of Stepne, Obody, Bilokopytove, Yastrubyne, Pavlivka, Bondarivshchyna, Myrlohy, and Katerynivka have been targeted. Furthermore, Russian forces targeted the settlements of Uhroidy, Sosnivka, Obody, Shalyhyne, Luhivka, Pavlivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Fotovyzh, and Stepanivka.

Moreover, the Russian army carried out 10 airstrikes, dropping 20 guided bombs on the territory of the Kursk region in Russia.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, three firefights occurred near Starytsia and Vovchansk since the start of the day, with two still ongoing. At the same time, Russian troops dropped two aerial bombs near Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Novoselivka, Pishchane, Stelmakhivka, and Lozova 11 times, and the fighting continues. Hlushkivka was also targeted in an airstrike.

In the Lyman sector, Russia launched attacks in the areas of Hrekivka, Makiivka, Novosadove, and Torske. In total, there have been eight combat engagements in this sector since the start of the day, with two still ongoing. The Russian army conducted airstrikes in the areas of Iziumske, Zarichne, Ozerne, and Lyman using guided aerial bombs, dropping a total of 20.

In the Siversk sector, near Verkhniokamianske, Russian forces attempted to push Ukrainian units back twice, attacking Zakitne, Pereizne, and Riznykivka with aircraft.

In the Kramatorsk sector, since the start of the day, Russian troops have made six attempts to drive Ukrainian units from their positions near Kalynivka, Stupochky, and Andriivka. Russia also targeted Chasiv Yar with unguided aerial missiles and dropped a guided bomb on Yurkivka.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia has attacked Ukrainian troop positions eight times, supported by bomber aircraft. Seven firefights are currently taking place near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, fierce fighting continues in the areas of Mykolaivka, Selydove, and Lysivka, with Russia launching seven attacks on Ukrainian positions so far. Combat is ongoing in four locations, and Russian aircraft struck near Pokrovsk and Selydove using guided aerial bombs.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russia has attacked Ukrainian units 16 times since the start of the day, attempting to advance near Tsukuryne, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka, and in the direction of Bohoiavlenka. Six firefights are still in progress.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attempted to advance four times in the areas of Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamianske but were fiercely repelled. The battle near Kamianske is ongoing.

• Over the past day, the occupying Russian army lost 1,230 soldiers. Ukrainian defenders destroyed 15 Russian tanks and 59 artillery systems.
