Russia loses 1,230 soldiers, 15 tanks and 59 artillery systems in one day of war in Ukraine

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to October 4, 2024, are approximately:

• personnel - about 657,940 (+1,230),
• tanks - 8,908 (+15),
• armored fighting vehicles - 17,627 (+31),
• artillery systems - 18,965 (+59),
• MLRS - 1,212 (+8),
• air defense systems - 965 (+1),
• aircraft - 369 (+0),
• helicopters - 328 (+0),
• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 16,694 (+101),
• cruise missiles - 2,613 (+0),
• ships/boats - 28 (+0),
• submarines - 1 (+0),
• vehicles and fuel tanks - 25,820 (+70),
• special equipment - 3,333 (+3).

• Since the beginning of the day on Thursday, October 3, Russian troops have attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces positions 132 times. Russian forces were most active in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors.
