72 combat clashes occur at front, 25 of them in Pokrovsk sector - Ukraine's General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 4:00 p.m.

The border of Chernihiv and Sumy regions came under Russian fire. The aggressor struck near the settlements of Bila Bereza, Prohres, Seredyna-Buda, Stari Vyrky, Katerynivka, Obody, and Bleshnia.

Frontline situation 

In the Kharkiv sector, five firefights took place. Ukrainian troops successfully repelled four attacks near Hlyboke, Tykhe, and Vovchansk. The battle is still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russians twice tried to storm Ukrainian positions near Stelmakhivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy assaults.

In the Lyman sector, the invading forces attacked in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, and Torske. In total, there have been seven combat engagements in this sector since the beginning of the day.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops tried to push Ukrainian units from their positions five times. Ukrainian troops repelled four assaults near Klishchiivka and Ivanivske. Another attack is underway near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions ten times with the support of attack and bomber aircraft. Four firefights are currently underway near Toretsk, Zalizne, and New York. The Russian army has dropped 12 guided bombs on Toretsk today.

The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains tense, with fierce fighting taking place in the areas of Kalynove, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Ivanivka, Zhelanne, Serhiivka, Novoselivka Persha, and Yasnobrodivka. So far, the Russian army has made 25 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions.

In the Kurakhove sector, the invaders attacked Ukrainian units three times and tried to advance near Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivka sector, four enemy assaults towards Velyka Novosilka were repelled. Russian aviation attacked Vuhledar with anti-aircraft gunships and unguided missiles in the areas of Makarivka, Urozhaine, and Staromaiorske.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the aggressor made four unsuccessful attempts to storm the Ukrainian troops’ positions during the day.

In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly.
