67 clashes occur at front: tense situation in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove sectors - Ukraine's General Staff

"Russian forces continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Instead, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are disrupting the enemy's insidious plans, causing significant losses in manpower and equipment," the ministry said.

The border settlements of the Sumy region continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. Pokrovka and Katerynivka were shelled by enemy artillery. The invaders carried out air strikes in the areas of Volfyne, Obody, Pavlivka, and Velyka Pysarivka, dropping 10 bombs. In addition, Russia has already dropped 24 guided bombs on the Kursk region today.

Frontline situation

In total, 67 combat engagements took place since the beginning of the day.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian army carried out five assault attacks near Novoosynove and Lozova. Three combat engagements ended, two more are ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the invading army attacked four times near Novosadove, Makiivka, and Torske. Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks, two more are ongoing. 

In the Siversk sector, the enemy attacked once during the day without success near Terny.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian forces made five assault attacks. Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped two Russian attacks near Stupochky and Chasiv Yar, three more attacks are ongoing. The enemy also launched air strikes on Kramatorsk.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russian troops attacked six times near Dachne and Toretsk. Two battles ended without success for the invaders, four more are ongoing. The areas around Diliyivka and Oleksandr-Kalynove are suffering from enemy air strikes.

The Pokrovsk sector is the hottest today. Since the beginning of the day, the Russians, supported by aviation, have made 15 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Novotoretske, Selydove, Krutyi Yar, and Promin. The Defense Forces are holding back the Russian onslaught and repelled 12 attacks, three firefights are still ongoing. Russia's losses are being clarified.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russia attacked 14 times near Tsukuryno, Horishne, Heorhiivka, Katerynivka, Kostiantynivka, and Antonivka. Ten battles are over, four are ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, the Russians attacked Ukrainian troops' positions near Bohoiavlenka three times. All enemy assaults were repelled. At the same time, the enemy, supporting the offensive, actively used aviation, dropping six bombs.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russians made one unsuccessful attempt to attack the Ukrainian positions.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian units did not conduct any offensive actions, but did launch an airstrike near the town of Lvove.

No significant changes have occurred in other areas of the frontline.
