53 clashes occur at front on Feb. 3: Russia launches 25 assaults in Pokrovsk sector

Since the beginning of February 3, 53 combat engagements have been recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks, while 11 others are still ongoing

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported the information on February 3.

“Border settlements continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, including Oleksandrivka, Hirky, Popivka, Bratenytsia, Novovasylivka, Bila Bereza in the Sumy region; Bohdanove in the Chernihiv region,” the report states.

A total of 53 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day.

Frontline situation

Kharkiv direction: Russia carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Baranivka and Bochkove.

Kupiansk direction: The Russian army launched seven assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions near Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Zahryzove. Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks, while one battle is still ongoing.

Lyman direction: The invading army attacked twice near Terny. One battle is still ongoing.

Siversk direction: Settlements of Siversk and Zakytne were hit by guided bomb airstrikes.

Kramatorsk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled an attempt by the Russians to advance near Chasiv Yar.

Toretsk direction: The Russian troops launched nine attacks near the settlements of Krymske, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka.

Pokrovsk direction: Since the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have attempted 25 assaults to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Malynivka, Novopoltavka, Zelenе Pole, Tarasivka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Dachne. The Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s pressure, repelling 14 attacks, while 11 battles are still ongoing. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the Oleksandrivka area, dropping three guided bombs.

Novopavlivka direction: Russia attacked four times near Kostiantynopil, Rozdolne, and Novyi Komar.

Huliaipole direction: The Russians attempted two unsuccessful assaults near Novosilka.

Orikhiv direction: The Russian enemy tried twice to advance towards Novodanylivka and Shcherbaky but failed.

Prydniprovskyi direction: Russian invaders launched four unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions near Antonivka and Prydniprovske.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks. Additionally, Russia conducted 26 airstrikes, dropping 37 guided bombs, and carried out 89 artillery shellings.

  • Over the past day on the Russian-Ukrainian front, the invading army lost another 1,300 personnel, as well as hundreds of units of equipment and weaponry.
