Frontline situation complicated in Pokrovsk direction, 36 combat clashes occur - Ukraine's General Staff

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff as of 10 am.

Russian attacks on Ukraine

The invading Russian troops carried out one missile and ten air strikes using 22 combat aircraft, launched 44 kamikaze strikes and fired almost 600 times at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Situation on the main directions

In the Kharkiv direction, two Russia's attacks are currently underway near Vovchansk. The situation is under control. 

In the Kupyansk direction, 2 Russian attacks occurred near Berestove and Stelmakhivka since the beginning of the day. The situation is under control.

In the Lyman direction, 1 Russian attack was repelled. At the same time, fighting continues near Kopanky, Hrekivka, Makiivka and Torske. The total number of combat clashes is currently 6.

Moderate activity of Russian forces is observed in the Siversk direction. Russian troops tried to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Bilohorivka, Spirne and Rozdolivka 5 times today: 2 attacks were repelled, the fighting continues.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupying Russian forces keep trying to advance towards Chasiv Yar, near which a firefight continues. The attack towards Klishchiivka has already been repelled. Ukrainian defenders are holding the line in this area.

Today, Ukrainian Defense Forces units successfully held off the Russian attack in the Horlivka-Pivnichne direction.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders are taking measures to prevent the advance of Russian troops deep into Ukrainian territory. As of today, 13 combat clashes have already taken place. Russia continues to put pressure on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near 6 settlements of the area: 6 attacks were rebuffed, and fighting continues. The situation is under control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the Kurakhove direction, one Russian attack near Paraskoviivka was unsuccessful. At the same time, fighting continues in the area of Nevelske.

In the Vremivka direction, a Russian attack near Urozhaine failed. Russian forces retreated.

In the Orikhiv direction, two assaults by Russian forces failed in the area of Robotyne and near Mala Tokmachka.

The situation in other sectors did not change significantly.

• There were 123 combat clashes in the frontline over the last day. The situation was the most intense in the Pokrovsk direction. At the same time, the Russians troop were putting pressure on the Lyman and Kramatorsk directions and near Toretsk.
