Russian attacks intensify in Lyman, Kramatorsk directions, in Toretsk area – General Staff

Since the beginning of the day on June 25, 75 combat clashes took place at the front. It is the most intense in the Pokrovsk direction. At the same time, the Russians are pressing in the Lyman, Kramatorsk directions, and in the Toretsk area

The General Staff reported that since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have been most active in the Pokrovsk direction. The total number of combat clashes along the entire front line has increased to 75. The intensity of Russian offensive actions is high in the Lyman and Kramatorsk directions, and in the Toretsk area. Defense Forces respond harshly, destroying enemy infantry and equipment.

Border towns in Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from artillery shelling from Russia. For instance, from Komsomolskoe and Sukhinovka (Russia), Russian forces struck Pavlivka, and shelled Popivka from Staroselie (Russia).

The Kharkiv region is under constant air attacks. From Belgorod (Russia), terrorists struck Lyptsi with three guided aerial bombs, Vovchanski Khutory with two guided aerial bombs, and dropped guided bombs on both Kharkiv and Ternove. Fighting continues near Vovchansk, where our soldiers repelled one of four enemy assaults.

Frontline situation 

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops, with air support, made six attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders near Stepova Novoselivka and Pishchane. The enemy hit Stelmakhivka with twelve unguided air missiles. Our defenders repelled four advances; two skirmishes are ongoing. The situation is under control.

The invading army attacked Defense Forces units eleven times near Kopanka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, and the Serebrianka Forest in the Lyman direction. Our soldiers repulsed seven assaults; four battles are ongoing. Makiivka suffered an airstrike with four unguided air missiles.

In the Siversk direction, the occupying army is active near Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, and Vyimka. Our forces repelled five attacks; two are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy continues trying to breach our defenses. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled six assaults; two clashes are ongoing in Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske districts.

In the Horlivka-Toretsk direction, the defense forces repelled four attacks, with two more ongoing.

Since the beginning of the day in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 26 times near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, and Yasnobrodivka. Our defenders repelled 24 attacks; two are ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, two out of four assaults near Kostyantynivka and Urozhaine were unsuccessful for the occupiers.

In the Orikhiv direction, the invaders attacked our positions twice near Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka. Ukrainian soldiers repelled one attack; another is ongoing.

In other directions, the situation remains mostly unchanged.

  • Yesterday, June 24, the Russian army lost at least 1,100 soldiers. Ukrainian defenders also eliminated dozens of Russian equipment units.
