159 combat clashes occur at front over last day - Ukraine's General Staff

This is reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff.

It is noted that yesterday Russia launched three missile attacks with four missiles at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, 82 air strikes, involving, in particular, 142 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 4,400 attacks, 161 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.

“Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit eight areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, an air defense facility, one artillery piece at a firing position, three control points, one UAV control point and one Russia's radar,” the General Staff added.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army continued offensive and assault actions. Four combat clashes took place in the areas of Starytsia, Vovchansk, and Tykhe.

The number of attacks in the Kupyansk direction reached 22 over the last day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled hostile assaults near 5 populated areas.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 15 oRussia's attacks near 5 localities.

In the Siversk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed three assault attacks. The Russian troops tried to advance near Verkhnekamianske and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops stopped nine Russian attempts to break through the defense. The Russian troops, with the support of aviation, made the main efforts in the area of Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Stupochky and Andriivka.

The Russian invaders continued to operate actively in the Toretsk direction yesterday. In total, they attacked Ukrainian positions 14 times in the areas of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. They carried out airstrikes with guided bombs.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers rebuffed 15 assaults and attacks in the areas of Mykolaivka, Selydove and Lysivka, where the Russian troops, supported by aviation, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Defense Forces stopped hostile attacks near 6 settlements, where Russia tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense 28 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, four combat clashes took place in the areas of Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske.

The situation on the border with Belarus remains unchanged. No signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.

Ukrainian defense forces continue operations in the Kursk region.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the occupation forces maintain a military presence, shelling settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities against Ukraine.

“Fighting continues along almost the entire contact line. Ukrainian soldiers are holding back enemy attacks. Our artillery, reconnaissance, aviation and unmanned systems are engaged in combat operations, depleting the enemy's forces,” the General Staff added.
