149 combat clashes occur at frontline over last day: Ukrainian army repels most attacks in Pokrovsk sector

At least 149 combat clashes took place between the two armies on the frontline over the past day. Russian forces storm Ukrainian positions in 9 directions

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on July 13.

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army continued offensive actions. There were 13 combat clashes near Hlyboke, Starytsia, Lyptsi and Vovchansk. 

In the Kupyansk direction, the number of attacks amounted to 11 over the day. Ukrainian defense forces rebuffed all hostile assaults near 4 localities.

In the Lyman direction, Russia attacked 17 times in the areas of Nevske, Makiivka, Terny and Torske, as well as in the Serebryansky forest.

In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed five assault actions of the Russian invaders near Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian enemy attacked 11 times in the areas of Ivanivske, Andriivka and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, the invading troops carried out 19 attacks near the settlements of Toretsk, Pivnichne, Zalizne and New York.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 42 assault attacks in the area of 9 settlements, where the Russian troops, supported by air power, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions. The largest concentration of adversary efforts was near Novooleksandrivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Defense Forces repulsed 22 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka, where Russia's units tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. 

In the Vremivka direction, Russia made six assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vodiane and Urozhaine.

In the Orikhiv direction, three combat clashes took place near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne.

The situation near the northeastern Ukrainian border remains unchanged. No signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the state border with Russia and Belarus, the Russian enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. 

Russian army carries out 64 air strikes, and almost 5,000 shellings of Ukrainian territory 

According to the updated information, Russia launched 64 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas yesterday, using 94 glide bombs. In addition, it made almost 5,000 attacks, including 143 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of 6 localities in Kharkiv region; 1 in Luhansk region, 11 in Donetsk region, and in the vicinity of Serebryanske forestry.

Ukrainian Armed Forces launch 11 attacks on Russian concentration areas

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted 11 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel and weapons concentration, as well as destroyed three air defense systems and an artillery system.

  • The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remained the most tense on July 12, with Russia being active in the Kurakhove and Toretsk sectors.
