131 clashes at front: Russia storms Ukrainian positions in 11 directions - Ukraine's General Staff

Over the last day, 131 combat clashes took place at the front. The situation remains the most complicated in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors, while Russia is actively attacking in the Kupyansk, Lyman, and Toretsk sectors

The General Staff reported this as of 8:00 a.m. on September 11.

Over the past day, 131 combat clashes were registered.

According to the updated information, yesterday Russia launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using two missiles, 66 air strikes (including 94 combat aircraft), carried out 4761 attacks, 180 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the vicinity of 18 settlements.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian troops continued assault operations. There were four combat clashes in the area of Vovchansk and Hlyboke.

In the Kupyansk direction, 13 adversary attacks took place. The Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped Russia's assault near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 20 assaults in the area of 6 populated areas.

In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces repulsed nine attacks near Ivan-Daryivka, Spirne, Verkhniokamianske and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukraine stopped five enemy attempts to break through the defense in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka and Ivanivske.

In the Toretsk direction, Russia, with the support of aviation, carried out nine attacks. They concentrated their efforts in the areas of Dachne, Toretsk and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders rebuffed 32 attacks. Russia concentrated its efforts in the areas of 8 settlements.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian enemy in the areas of Heorhiivka, Ukrainske and Krasnohorivka. In total, Russia tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops in this area 29 times. 

In the Vremivka direction, the occupation forces made two attacks on Ukrainian positions in the direction of Vuhledar.

In the Orikhiv direction, there was one unsuccessful firefight near Mali Shcherbaky.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, no losses of positions and territories were incurred. Ukrainian troops successfully repelled seven attacks by Russian invaders. 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected. The operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia maintains a military presence, actively using aviation from the territory of the Russian Federation, and shelling border settlements. 

Ukraine's Defense Forces destroyed a Russian control center and 8 artillery systems

Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict significant losses in equipment and manpower on the invading forces, depleting Russia's offensive potential along the entire front line and in the rear.

Over the past day, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted ten strikes on areas where Russian personnel and weapons were concentrated, destroying a command post, eight artillery systems, an electronic warfare facility and one other important object.

  • On September 10, the Russian army attacked Kherson and Poniativka in the region. Four people were injured as a result of the shelling.
