111 combat clashes reported at Russia-Ukraine front today
Since the start of December 1, 111 clashes have been recorded at the front. Russian forces are focusing on the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Vremivka sectors, and the Kursk region
Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.
"Russian artillery is still targeting the border regions of Chernihiv and Sumy. Several settlements have been hit today, including Novovasylivka, Bleshnia, Hremiachka, Bachivsk, Leonivka, and Karpovychi," the General Staff reported.
Frontline update
In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled six Russian attacks near Starytsia, Tykhe, and Vovchansk, with one firefight still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk sector, the Russian army attempted to advance six times towards Ukrainian positions near Lozova, Kruhliakivka, and Zelenyi Hai. Two firefights are ongoing.
Russia also launched six attacks in the Lyman sector, near Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Hryhorivka, Terny, and Torske. Two firefights are currently underway.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled one Russian attack near Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops made five attempts to advance near Toretsk and towards Shcherbynivka. The battle is still ongoing.
Russian activity continues in the Pokrovsk sector, with 22 clashes taking place today. Ukrainian forces repelled attacks in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovte, and Chumatske. Five firefights are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhove sector, fierce fighting continues. There were 33 combat clashes today near Berestky, Sontsivka, Zoria, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Yelizavetivka, and Hannivka, with 14 Russian attacks still underway.
In the Vremivka sector, Russia launched 19 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynopolske, Trudove, Velyka Novosilka, Novosilka, Novyi Komar, and Novodarivka. Nine combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks, with 12 clashes in total today.
No significant changes were reported in other areas.
