Russia stops providing medical care to Ukrainians without its passports in Luhansk region

Russian forces in the temporarily occupied Starobilsk, Luhansk region, have stopped providing medical services to Ukrainians who refused to receive Russian passports

This was reported by the Center for National Resistance.

Also, pharmacies do not provide these residents with medicines under social programs.

The Resistance notes that from January 1, all Ukrainians who refused to receive Russian passports in the temporarily occupied territories will be denied medical services.

"In this way, the enemy is pursuing a deliberate policy of genocide to destroy Ukrainians as a nation on their ethnic lands," the statement says.

It is worth noting that, according to the head of the regional military administration, Artem Lysohor, there are almost no doctors left in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region. Those who did not evacuate are working in the invaders’ military hospitals, so the situation with medical care for civilians is catastrophic.

Russian-installed officials force locals to take Russian passports in the temporarily occupied territories

Last summer, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a simplified procedure for all Ukrainian citizens to acquire Russian citizenship.

On September 30, 2022, Putin, based on the results of the so-called referendum in the temporarily occupied territories, signed "treaties" on the "accession" of the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR, as well as Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions to Russia.

On October 2, 2022, he introduced a bill to the State Duma to "incorporate four regions of Ukraine into the Russian Federation.”

As early as October 5 last year, Putin signed "laws" on the so-called accession of four regions of Ukraine to Russia. He also appointed Denis Pushilin as "acting head of the DPR" and Leonid Pasechnik as "acting head of the LPR." Vladimir Saldo became the "governor" of Kherson region, and Yevgeny Balitsky was appointed the "governor" of Zaporizhzhia. Since the invaders call these regions "Russian", they demand that residents take Russian passports, but there are few people willing to do so. Therefore, they resort to threats to force people to take Russian citizenship. For example, the Russian forces threaten to deprive Ukrainians of parental rights if their children do not obtain Russian passports.
