Putin submits draft law on "admission to the Russian Federation" of the occupied territories of Ukraine to the State Duma - Russian media
On October 2, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, submitted a draft law on the "admission into the Russian Federation" of the terrorist organizations "LPR" and "DPR" and the temporarily Russian-occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions to the State Duma (Russian parliament).

According to the "draft laws", by June 1, 2023, "bodies of the federal executive power" will be created in the occupied territories, and any armed formations must become part of the armed forces of Russia.
The "draft laws" also state that the occupied regions will retain their current names, and citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons living in the annexed territories can obtain Russian citizenship on the condition of submitting an application and "taking the oath of Russian citizenship".
Within 10 days of "admission to Russia", Putin will appoint "temporary leaders" of illegal formations.
