Russia spreads fake video of 'poisonous cloud' after shelling ammonia pipeline twice
After the repeated shelling of the ammonia pipeline in the Kharkiv region, Russia began to spread a fake video with a 'chemical cloud'
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security reported this.
The video with the toxic cloud was posted on social media by Russian propagandists and Z-military channels, showing the consequences of the shelling of the Tolyatti-Odesa pipeline.
However, according to Oleh Synyehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Militar Administration, the ammonia pipeline in the Kupiansk district was actually depressurized due to Russian shelling.
Thanks to the operation of the safety valves, ammonia leakage is prevented.
“As of 10:29 pm on June 6, there is no threat of hazardous substances spreading in the Kupiansk community. We continue to monitor the level of pollution, the situation is under control,” said the head of the region.
Invading Russian troops attacked the Kupiansk district on the night of June 6, striking 6 times near the pumping station in the Masiutivka area.
“In Masiutivka, the measurements showed 7 nanograms per cubic meter, while the safe level is up to 10 nanograms. In Kupiansk, there is no ammonia in the air at all,” added Synyehubov.
