Russia shells Zaporizhzhia, damaging infrastructure and residential buildings

Oleksandr Starukh, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, reported the information on Telegram.
He noted that a missile fragment was also found at the site of the shelling.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Anatolii Kurtiev reported the shelling on Telegram.
"The damned enemy cynically attacked our city at night again. Infrastructure facilities were damaged. A fire broke out on the site. Also, as a result of the shelling, civilian houses were damaged again. According to preliminary information, people were not injured," he wrote.
Rescue teams are working at the site of the strike to eliminate the consequences.
Around 3 a.m., an air alert alarm was triggered in the city. Shortly after, locals heard a loud explosion, followed by another one.
"It was very loud. Friends, stay in safe places! We hope everyone is safe. The shelling was launched from Tokmak. The alarm is still on," one of the local Telegram channels said.
Locals on social media suggest that the shelling was carried out with S-300 missiles.
- The previous major shelling of the city by Russian forces took place on the night of January 8. Then, Zaporizhzhia was shelled with cluster munitions, critical and civilian infrastructure was damaged.
