Russia shells Sumy region 26 times over 24 hours: there are casualties
On June 4, the Russian occupiers conducted 26 shelling incidents on the border territories of the Sumy region, resulting in injuries
The Sumy Regional Military Administration provided details of the attacks.
It is stated that there were 22 shellings and a total of 104 explosions throughout the day. The affected communities include Bilopollia, Velika Pysarivka, Hlukhiv, Znob-Novhorodske, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhyne, and Yunakivka.
In the Bilopollia community, artillery installations were responsible for a series of shelling, resulting in 8 explosions, as well as mortar shelling that caused 2 explosions. The Velika Pysarivka community experienced 18 artillery explosions and 3 mortar explosions. One of the mortar attacks caused damage to a private house, a garage with a car, and a gas pipe.
The Hlukhiv community was targeted by Russian artillry, resulting in 9 explosions. Znob-Novhorodske community suffered an artillery attack with 28 recorded explosions, damaging 7 private houses, power lines, a church, and a fire-rescue unit. Two civilians were wounded in this incident. The Krasnopillia community experienced a mortar attack, leading to 6 explosions.
In the Myropillia community, there were artillery shelling with 2 explosions and mortar shelling with 4 explosions. The Russians also dropped 9 mines in the territory of the Novoslobidska community. The Shalyhyne community faced mortar shelling with 5 explosions, while the Yunakivka community endured heavy artillery shelling resulting in 10 explosions.
Later in the evening of June 4, according to North Operational Command , the Russians conducted 4 additional shelling incidents on the border of the Sumy region. These included five hits, likely from 120-mm mortars, in the Vovkivka area; nine shots, probably from artillery, in the Bilokopytove area; four hits, likely from 82-mm mortars, in the Seredyna-Buda area; and two shots, probably from 120-mm mortars, in the Baranivka area. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure reported in these incidents.

It should be noted that on June 3, the Sumy region experienced 87 explosions due to Russian shelling, which resulted in one person being injured.
