This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
Despite offering no evidence that the threats are real or originate from Ukraine, the Russian Investigative Committee has already opened a criminal case.
“This information campaign, launched by the Russians ahead of a potential second round of talks, is part of the enemy’s effort to stall and sabotage the ceasefire negotiations. They attempt to mask this with propaganda nonsense about the so-called ‘inability of the Ukrainian side to negotiate’ and the ‘terrorist nature of the Kyiv regime,’” the Center stated.
They added that spreading such claims only further demonstrates the Kremlin’s unwillingness to agree to a ceasefire and its intent to “reduce the talks to a mere sham.”
- Earlier, the Center reported that Russian propagandists had once again launched a disinformation campaign targeting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spreading false claims about mass killings in the Kursk region, while Russia continues attacks on Ukrainian civilians.
