Russia loses about 48,000 soldiers, 285 self-propelled guns and 1,974 tanks since starting war in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24 to August 31 amounted to:

• personnel - about 47,900 (+350 per day) 

• tanks - 1,974 (+20)

• armored fighting vehicles - 4,312 (+18) 

• artillery systems - 1,091 (+12)

• MLRS - 285 (+3)

• air defense systems - 152 (+1)

• aircraft - 234

• helicopters - 204 

• vehicles and tank trucks - 3,236 (+19)

• ships/boats - 15

• UAV operational-tactical level - 849 (+2)

• special equipment - 103 

• cruise missiles - 196 

On August 30, Russian forces suffered the greatest losses in the Donetsk, Kurakhove directions.
