Russia loses 690 soldiers, 58 cruise missiles, 23 drones and 8 tanks over day 

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

From February 24 to December 30, Russia lost in Ukraine:

personnel - about 105,250 (+690 per day)

tanks - 3026 (+8) 

armored fighting vehicles - 6059 (+12)

artillery systems - 2010 (+6)

MLRS - 423

air defense systems - 212

aircraft - 283

helicopters - 268

UAV operational-tactical level  - 1740 (+23)

cruise missiles - 711 (+58)

ships/boats - 16

vehicles and tank trucks - 4683 (+8)

special equipment - 180 (+1).

On December 29, the biggest losses were suffered by Russia at the Liman and Bakhmut directions.

• On December 29, Kharkiv suffered a massive attack from Russian drones. In total, 13 Shahed UAVs were launched at the city, 11 of which were successfully shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.  

• On December 29, Russia launched a massive strike on Ukraine with missiles and drones. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported three dead and six injured Ukrainians by the Russian attack. The State Emergency Service reported damage to 28 objects, including 10 critical infrastructures. Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi reported that the Defense Forces destroyed 54 out of 69 Russian cruise missiles.

• President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Ukrainian Armed Forces for repulsing the Russian massive attack with missiles and drones, noting the anti-aircraft gunners of Kyiv, Odesa and Kherson regions, as well as the power engineers who are eliminating the consequences of Russian strikes.

• On December 29-30, the Russian aggressor attacked Kyiv and the region with kamikaze drones. Air defense managed to shoot down the drones.
