Russia loses 420 soldiers, 61 cruise missiles and 5 tanks in the last 24 hours

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24 to December 17 amounted to:

personnel - about 97,690 (+420 per day),

tanks - 2,985 (+5),

armored fighting vehicles - 5,958 (+6),

artillery systems - 1,947 (+1),

MLRS - 410

air defense systems - 211,

aircraft - 281,

helicopters - 264,

vehicles and tank trucks - 4,577 (+14)

ships/boats - 16,

UAV operational-tactical level - 1,648

special equipment - 174 (+2), 

cruise missiles - 653 (+61).

Data on the directions where Russian troops suffered the greatest losses are being clarified.

• On December 16, Russia launched 76 missiles at Ukraine, 61 of them were shot down. Air defense worked in a number of regions. 

• A Russian missile hit a residential building in Kryvyi Rih, killing four people. 

• Russian forces launched 15 missiles at Zaporizhzhia, missile strikes were also reported in other cities.

• As a result of massive shelling, energy facilities were damaged in both eastern and southern Ukraine.
