Russia looks for weak points in Ukraine's defense in Melitopol sector
Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Viktor Burlyk said that they are conducting offensive operations against the Russian army in the Melitopol sector, facing great danger from guided aerial bombs and FPV drones
He told this on Espreso TV.
"The situation is quite dynamic, the essence of it is that there are offensive actions near the temporarily occupied village of Verbove and in the direction of Novoprokopivka and Kopani. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are not using any assault actions with equipment or combined methods, as this is a rather high risk. They are storming the positions, meter by meter," the serviceman said.
According to Burlyk, Russian forces have intensified full-fledged counterattacks and there are many groups of Russia's Storm Z units.
"That is, convicts who are actively rushing into combat. They have been deployed along the entire frontline, trying to find weaknesses in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Of course, we have not enough means against enemy aircraft. Guided aerial bombs are also a very big danger, because the enemy has a lot of them and is ready to attack anywhere" Burlyk explained.
At the same time, the occupying Russian forces are also using FPV drones along the entire Melitopol frontline, which transmit video in real time.
"These trends are not good. They have quite a large stockpile of FPVs. They use different tactics, this is also a great danger, we need a lot of trench electronic and portable warfare to protect the lives of the Ukrainian soldiers," he added.
- On October 30, the General Staff reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were continuing their offensive in the Melitopol sector and assault operations in the Bakhmut sector, as well as exhausting the enemy along the entire frontline.
