Ukrainian forces advance in Melitopol sector – General Staff

Ukraine's Armed Forces continue their offensive operations in the Melitopol sector and assault operations in the Bakhmut sector, exhausting the Russian troops along the entire front line

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

Ukrainian aviation launched 19 strikes against Russian forces 

Another strike hit the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system.

In turn, the missile troops hit an air defense facility, 5 manpower concentration areas, 9 artillery pieces, and 6 other important targets.

During the day, Russia launched 7 missile strikes, 47 airstrikes, and 43 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are wounded among the civilian population. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged. 

In addition, the Russian forces attacked Ukraine again, using 12 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs, 2 Kh-59 guided missiles and 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Air defense forces and means destroyed all enemy attack UAVs and 2 guided missiles.

Within the last day, 30 combat engagements took place in the main frontline areas

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 10 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in frontline Ukrainian regions

  • In the Kupyansk direction, 10 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

  • In the Lyman direction, over 10 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

  • In the Bakhmut direction, over 20 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

  • In the Avdiivka direction, more than 15 settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked. 

  • In the Marinka direction, over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

  • In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

  • In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, about 25 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army.

On Monday, October 30, the Russian troops hit a shuttle bus in the city of Kherson. At least seven people were injured in the attack.
