Russian forces learn quickly: Ukrainian Lieutenant Colonel on battles in Bakhmut sector

Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Fitio, head of PR of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Command, said that active combat actions continue near Klishchiivka and Andriivka. Over the past day, 11 Russian attacks were repelled in the Bakhmut sector

He told this on Espreso TV.

"In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy intensified active offensive actions about three weeks ago, trying to regain previously lost positions. Ukrainian forces were in active defense and improved their tactical position, moving to offensive actions whenever possible. Active hostilities continue near Klishchiivka and Andriivka. Over the last day, 11 enemy attacks were repelled. We can see that the enemy's activity in this area of the frontline is high," said the head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to him, invading Russian troops are using aviation to carry out air strikes and a large number of 'kamikaze' drones

"We must understand that we are not fighting a simple enemy. The Russians are well-equipped, have a large number of human resources, sufficient ammunition and military equipment. We cannot underestimate the enemy, and its main feature is that it learns very quickly. And what the Ukrainians successfully apply on the battlefield, the Russian soldiers immediately learn and use it against us. Over the past day, the enemy fired 353 times at Ukrainian defenders, 203 Russian invaders were killed in this sector, 48 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed or damaged," informed Volodymyr Fitio.
