Ukrainian troops destroy 1,130 Russian soldiers, 20 tanks, 36 armored vehicles per day - General Staff

Russian forces didn't conduct any offensives in the Bakhmut direction over the past day. Instead, Ukrainian troops inflicted significant losses on them, killing 1,130 soldiers

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to November 23, 2023 were approximately:

  • artillery systems – 7,802 (+33)

  • vehicles and fuel tanks – 10,198 (+39) 
  • special equipment ‒ 1,107 (+2)

Russian troops didn't conduct assault operations in the Bakhmut direction, but the Ukrainian forces inflict significant losses on the enemy

This was reported by the General Staff.

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops conducted assault operations in the vicinity of Synkivka, northeast of Petropavlivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian troops repelled 12 attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian troops did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian invaders did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. In turn, the Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian invaders keep trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are holding steadfast, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The enemy's offensive to the east of Novobakhmutivka, north of Lastochkino, Avdiivka and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region was unsuccessful. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 30 attacks.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 enemy attacks in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian troops unsuccessfully tried 4 times to regain their lost position near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and depleting the Russian enemy along the entire front line.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, continue to conduct counter-battery combat, and inflict fire on the enemy's rear.

Russians launched 3 missile and 43 airstrikes against Ukraine

Over the last day, 74 combat engagements took place. In total, Russian troops launched 3 missile and 43 air strikes, fired more than 64 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Also, on the night of November 22, the occupiers struck again at Ukraine, using 14 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Air defense destroyed all 14 Shaheds.

Air strikes hit various locations: 5 settlements in Kharkiv region; Serebryanske forestry, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; 5 settlements in Donetsk region.

More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed Russian air defense system and 4 artillery pieces

During the day, the Defense Forces' aiation struck 11 manpower concentration areas,

Missile troops hit 13 military positions, a control center, an air defense facility, 4 artillery pieces, and an enemy ammunition depot.

  • Analysts from the Institute of War Studies suggest that Ukrainian troops are attacking on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region, as well as in the Melitopol direction.
