Russia launches 12 air and 5 missile strikes, Ukrainian forces repel 92 attacks in 5 directions - General Staff 

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on Facebook. 

“The criminal Russian government does not abandon its intentions to occupy the territory of Ukraine by using both its own armed forces and PMCs and armed groups of quasi-republics, continuing to conduct large-scale armed aggression,” the General Staff emphasized.

The Russian army launched 12 airstrikes, 5 missile strikes, and 56 MLRS attacks

Yesterday, the Russian forces launched 2 airstrikes and 5 missile strikes against Ukraine, 2 of which were in Zaporizhzhia. The occupying troops used S-300 air defense systems against a civilian infrastructure facility, destroying one building. There were no civilian casualties or injuries.

In addition, the enemy fired 56 times from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). One of them was aimed at a civilian infrastructure facility in Kherson. There are civilian casualties: two killed and three wounded.

AFU repelled 92 enemy attacks in 5 directions, launched 10 strikes on Russian military positions, and destroyed a munitions depot and 2 electronic warfare sites

The military once again emphasized that the invaders' goal remained attempts to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Thus, the Russian troops focused their main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions.

Thanks to professional and coordinated actions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 92 enemy attacks in these areas.

At the same time, Ukrainian aviation launched 6 strikes on the invading Russian forces' military positions, and missile and artillery units hit 4 personnel concentration areas, one munitions depot and 2 places of deployment of Russian electronic warfare stations.

Near the state Ukrainian border, the situation hasn't changed significantly. The Russian Federation continues to maintain a significant military presence on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, but without the obvious formation of offensive groups. At the same time, the enemy continues to equip the terrain in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions.

At the same time, 8 settlements in the Kharkiv region near the contact line were attacked by the Russian enemy. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the Russian enemy maintained a significant military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine to prevent Ukrainian units from being redeployed to other areas.

It is noted that the previous day, the occupying troops unsuccessfully tried to break through the Ukrainian army's defense by shelling the areas of 13 settlements along the frontline.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russia did not stop assaulting the city of Bakhmut. Enemy shelling affected 15 localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy made unsuccessful offensive attempts near 6 localities. 18 settlements were subjected to enemy shelling. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian troops continue to defend. Almost 40 settlements came under enemy fire.
