Russia hits Ukraine with over 2,300 airstrikes in a week, Zelenskyy urges U.S., Europe to act
Over the course of the week, Russian forces launched attacks across most regions of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his expectation for a response from the U.S. and Europe to Russia's acts of terror
He wrote about this on social media.
According to Zelenskyy, over the past week, Russia targeted Ukraine with 1,310 guided aerial bombs, launched more than 1,000 attack drones—mostly Shaheds—and fired nine missiles of various types, including ballistic ones.
A significant portion of these attacks was intercepted by air defense forces, mobile fire groups, and all units involved in protecting Ukraine's skies.
"Russia is dragging out the war, and we are providing our partners with full information on the strikes the Russian army is carrying out and the actions it is preparing for. We expect a response from the United States, Europe and all our allies to this terror against our people," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The president thanked all leaders and nations that understand the situation and continue to support Ukraine.
"The stability and predictability of support for Ukraine are crucial. I am grateful to every country that helps us with air defense systems and investing in our defense industry—all of this helps protect Ukraine," the Ukrainian leader added.
