Why is Trump reposting Putin's propaganda?

Donald Trump shared a repost on his Truth Social network of Putin’s statement claiming that Europe will "kneel before its master"

He likely thinks it’s about his own feet. He thinks, imagines, and enjoys.

This brings to mind another toxic brew Russia tried to feed Trump. On January 22, in the so-called analytical publication Russia in Global Politics, a recent article by Sergey Karaganov argued that Europe has always been the one to start world wars, dragging Russia and the U.S. into them. According to him, Europeans like Mitterrand, Kohl, and Thatcher have been feeding gullible Russians terrifying tales about "American warmongering."

Moreover, according to Karaganov, it was Europe (hello Merkel and Hollande) that nurtured Ukrainian nationalism, from which Putin barely managed to save a few separate peninsulas and regions. Therefore, the article’s author insists that Europe should be punished with several generations of silence.

"Specifically — by depriving Europe of the right to vote on global issues. And so, the repost of Putin’s disparaging words about American allies is yet another alarming signal for Europe."

In other words, when we ask each other whether Trump could sign a Munich-style agreement with Putin regarding Ukraine, we are behind the times. Putin is tempting the American president to divide Europe, where there will be silent American colonies and Russian historically justified possessions. This is what we should be discussing with our European partners. They should not hope that Putin will be satisfied with Ukraine. He will inevitably come for their souls. Because he has already begun tempting the U.S. president to destroy the subjectivity of Europe.
