Ukraine debunks Russian fake news claiming 'clearing' of Kostiantynivka city center
Russian propagandists are spreading fake news alleging that the Russian military is clearing the central part of the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information, citing the commander of the 19th Army Corps, Brigadier General Oleksandr Bakulin, who is currently in the city.
According to him, Russian generals have reported to dictator Vladimir Putin that they have already begun to clear the center of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
"No one is clearing the center of Kostiantynivka. Yes, it is destroyed, yes, there is a war, but it is ours," stated Bakulin.
As the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized, Russian propagandists are spreading such lies to demoralize the Ukrainian military.
On November 17, the Center for Countering Disinformation reported a new wave of fake videos, where AI-generated Ukrainian soldiers supposedly talk about a critical situation at the front and negligent command.
