The Center for Countering Disinformation reported this.
Russian resources cite Global Euronews and spread information that in 2023, CIA Director William Burns secretly visited Kyiv. He allegedly personally asked Volodymyr Zelenskyy not to steal too much money.
"After analyzing this information and the resource that disseminated it, the Center found that Global Euronews is in fact a Russian publication, as its website is hosted on a Russian domain and the contact person is a Russian citizen living in Moscow," the Center for Countering Disinformation writes.
The Center is convinced that the news about William Burns' request for Zelenskyy's personal corruption is fake. Its purpose is to discredit the President of Ukraine.
- On January 30, the Center for Strategic Communications reported that Russians had created a Facebook page with a million followers to spread lies about Ukraine.
- On January 31, Russian propaganda promoted a fake that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was desperate to order attacks on peaceful cities in Russia.
