On May 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with Iranian drones, and the following night they launched missile strikes on Ternopil and Mykolaiv

This is reported by the AFU General Staff on Facebook.

The enemy is still attacking the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Yesterday, 57 combat clashes took place in these sections, while Bakhmut and Marinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities.

On the night of May 14, Russia launched another missile attack against Ukraine

Last night, Ukraine was once again attacked by Russian terrorists with missiles, and information about the aftermath is currently being clarified.

Yesterday, the Russian Federation launched a massive attack on Ukrainian territory using Iranian attack UAVs Shahed-136/131 drones. Our defenders were able to destroy 18 out of 23 of these drones, but the hits caused damage to about 50 high-rise buildings, private homes, cultural and medical institutions due to blast waves. Over 30 civilians were wounded as a result.

In total, the enemy launched four rocket strikes in the past day, including on the cities of Ternopil and Mykolaiv, resulting in civilian injuries and damage to multi-story buildings and other civilian infrastructure. Additionally, the enemy carried out 79 airstrikes and launched 99 MLRS attacks on our troops and populated areas. As a result of the shelling in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, civilians were killed and wounded, including children. A private residence was destroyed, along with four high-rise buildings and other civil infrastructure.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on Ukraine's entire territory remains high.

Russia continues to transfer convicts to the front

The enemy still tries to replenish its manpower by enlisting prisoners from Russia. Recently, around 200 of these individuals arrived at one of the enemy's field camps in the temporarily occupied Rohove, Luhansk region, to undergo a four-week course of combined military training. It's expected that up to 250 more convicts will arrive by the end of this month.

Additionally, in the area of Mozhnyakivka, Luhansk region, the occupiers are training 800 newly arrived Russian prisoners.

Meanwhile, about 400 mercenaries from the group of Russian prisoners recruited by Wagner PMC have recently arrived at the Novopetrivka settlement training ground in Zaporizhzhia to undergo military training. The training will last several weeks, and another 400 mercenaries from Russian convicts are expected to arrive soon for training.

Ukrainian forces hit 14 Russian manpower positions

Throughout the day, the Defense Forces' Air Force conducted ten strikes targeting areas with enemy personnel and military equipment, in addition to four strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. Our defenders also successfully intercepted and downed three enemy reconnaissance UAVs of the Orlan-10 type, destroyed two reconnaissance drones of the Zala type, as well as four Lancet barrage ammunition and five other drones to be specified.

Meanwhile, units of missile troops and artillery launched attacks on four areas of concentration of enemy forces, a MLRS at a firing position, two anti-aircraft defenses, two ammunition depots, and two radio electronic warfare stations of the enemy.

Situation by directions is as follows

On the northern border with Belarus, the operational situation remained unchanged, with no signs of offensive groups forming.

On the northeastern border with Russia, the enemy continues to maintain military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. Russia fired mortar and artillery shells at 7 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 9 in the Sumy region, and 10 more in the Kharkiv region. They also launched airstrikes in 5 areas of the Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops attempted to improve the tactical situation during the day, launching attacks in 3 directions, but were unsuccessful. They launched artillery and mortar attacks at 4 settlements in the Kharkiv region and 1 more in the Luhansk region. Two areas were subjected to airstrikes.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces shelled 5 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions close to the frontline yesterday, and launched airstrikes near 4 areas.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops are on the offensive. Fighting continues in the town of Bakhmut. In addition, over the past day, they launched unsuccessful attacks in the direction of 4 more settlements. They launched air strikes near 7 settlements and shelled 12 in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near Avdiivka, shelled 2 more settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled numerous attacks near the town of Marinka. At the same time, 2 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian forces did not launch any assaults over the past day. However, they launched air strikes near 1 settlement and shelled 4 more.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They launched an airstrike near 1 settlement in the Donetsk region, 6 in the Zaporizhzhia region, and another 2 in the Kherson region. At the same time, they shelled 14 settlements near the contact line in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Khersons regions.
